DAY 01:
Pisaq
Pisaq is located 30 km from Cusco and it takes approximately 45 minutes by bus to get there.
9 km from the town of Pisaq, high in the mountains in the midst of cultivated terraces and the Inca constructions you can find the homes of the people who live in the Andes. Here there are 6 citadels which make up a stunning architectonic and historic panorama of the area.
On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays there are crafts fairs in the town's main square, with the participation of artisans from the whole town who maintain a constant productive activity throughout the entire year.
Lunch
Ollantaytambo
Located to 95 km from Cusco. Ollantaytambo built by the Incas in the XV century, It was an agricultural, administrative, religious, military and social complex for the Incas Is one of the most spectacular archaeological remains of Peru, for its multiplicity of archaeological and the singularity of each one of them.
The archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo was a strategic army center, religious and agriculture. The scenery is exceptional because of its magnitude, style and the buildings have a particular form.
Chinchero
The chincheros market is one the most important in the region because of the great quality of the crafts they sale here. The qualities of these products are well known Internationally for its excellence and beauty. In this market we can see the “trueque” a form of exchange of products, that is still in practise, here the woman still practise the form of weaving made all of llana for the sun's sons in the Imperial Cusco.
The actual main square, where fairs are celebrated on Sundays, it has a Inca wall that has twelve windows, each of them is 2 meters high, and 150 meters width, this wall also is used as a wall of contention for another square that is located right in front of the church. It also has colonial arch in the corner of the square, buildings that were made out of adobe, huge rooms with windows, doors and platforms that show the greatness of the Incas culture.
